Gingrich confidant earns RNC slot
Atlanta attorney Randy Evans was on Saturday elected by delegates to the state GOP’s convention to serve as national committeeman to the Republican National Committee.
Evans’ endorsement bench was deep, counting Governor Nathan Deal, former and current members of Congress and prominent ex-party officials among his boosters.
Once outside counsel to then-House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Evan also played a prominent role in the Georgian’s presidential bid.
Linda Herren was elected as his female counterpart.
