Atlanta’s largest mixed-use development announced on Friday it would soon begin enforcing a smoking ban in public areas.

After floating the possibility of a ban earlier this week by social media, the development’s property managers said they received an overwhelmingly positive reaction from patrons and residents.

“We asked the community what they wanted and it was clear they supported a smoke-free shopping and entertainment experience,” Atlantic Station General Manager David Anderson said in a press release today. “We want Atlantic Station to be a place where families can enjoy themselves and we’d love to see Midtown become an even healthier community.”
