State Rep. Doug Collins notched the blue dog endorsement of former Georgia Governor and U.S. Senator Zell Miller, campaign aides said Tuesday.
Miller, whose cross-party dalliances over the last decade have made him a pariah among the progressive left, was touted by Collins’ Congressional campaign in a new list of endorsements.
A campaign spox said that Miller, whose grandson serves as campaign manager for the Gainesville lawmaker, will hit the stump with Collins a handful of times before the July 31 primary in which conservative radio talker Martha Zoller is also competing.
