U.S. Rep. John BarrowAlready boasting a sizeable campaign warchest of his own, Democratic Congressman John Barrow is receiving yet another boon in outside spending.

Center Forward, formerly known as the Blue Dog Research Forum, will be running ads in Georgia’s 12th district from September 10th to 30th on the embattled Democrat’s behalf with a buy totaling $357,000.

The ad buy marks the group’s second foray into Barrow’s embattled re-election prospects, as they ran ads boosting the blue dog in June. Last month, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee also announced that it was investing $419,000 in ad buys, beginning in mid-September and lasting through mid-October. This wave of pro-Barrow outside spending comes on the heels of an announcement that House Majority PAC has purchased $435,000 worth of ads on Barrow’s behalf. Combined, the sum equates to roughly $1.2 million.

The congressman himself disclosed over a million on hand in his most recent filing. He has also announced purchasing over $600,000 worth of ad space for the fall campaign.

Meanwhile, the National Republican Congressional Committee is set to blast the airwaves with $900,000 worth of ads against Barrow
