Lee AndersonA Republican super PAC focused on Republican margins in the U.S. House of Representatives will be making a significant television and online advertisement buy on behalf of GOP hopeful Lee Anderson.

The Congressional Leadership Fund, an affiliate of the conservative American Action Network, will infuse Anderson’s cash-strapped challenge to incumbent Democrat John Barrow with some $200,000 in the remaining week of the November contest, according to an email provided to Tipsheet.

Local Republicans anticipate the new ads, which mark CLF’s first expenditure in the state since its founding last year, to begin running Monday.

The latest independent expenditure disclosures show outside spending in the race had already reached $3.9 million before the group announced its investment.

But according to those same filings, a Democratic group, Patriot Majority PAC, bought $20,000 in broadcast time throughout the district though the spot is not yet available online and a spokesman did not respond to an email.
