Anderson’s closing argument: Obama-Barrow ‘bromance’ crippling Georgia

Republican Lee Anderson unveiled on Wednesday his campaign’s final television advertisement, a cheeky 30-second spot in which his blue dog opponent is said to be in a “bromance” with the president.

“They’ve captivated us. Two liberal Democrats, President Obama and Congressman Barrow: a bromance for the ages,” a Barry White-affecting narrator opens the ad. “Barrow works to pass Obama’s liberal agenda: busted budgets, reckless spending, Obamacare.”

The ad also contains a nod from the top of his party’s ticket, the first mention of such an endorsement from Mitt Romney.

The campaign has made little effort to promote the news apart from the ad’s fleeting mention, but an Anderson adviser confirmed the endorsement in an email to Tipsheet.
