Barack Obama and Michelle Nunn

Since her campaign’s July kickoff, Senate hopeful Michelle Nunn has scarcely acknowledged her party affiliation, seeking daylight between herself and national Democratic leadership, all of whom remain unpopular in Georgia polling numbers.

That’s not impeding fundraising efforts, though, with news that the Points of Light CEO is forming a joint fundraising committee with the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) coming today.

The national coalescing comes over eight months out from Georgia’s primary elections, with Nunn still facing three announced competitors on the Democratic side of the aisle.

Dubbed “Nunn Senate Victory,” the statement of organization can be viewed below.
